Friday, July 23rd, 2010Birmingham Zine Festival is taking place between 10th and 12th September. They will feature a wide range of self-published books, comics and magazines and also be showcasing a selection of artwork from artists connected to the alternative press. There’s a brilliant postcard exhibition which you can take part in and a zine fair at the Victoria on the 11th September from 12pm-6pm. Get involved!

He’s also Deputy Creative Director over at Birmingham based Fluid so It’s a really nice contrast to see his hand made (often wooden) approach to his personal work as opposed to the polished agency stuff.

Eastside Projects - Book show
Tuesday, July 6th, 2010Eastside Projects has an amzing new show on with the theme of books. The show includes works by the 2006 Turner Prize winner Simon Starling, John Latham, American artist Nina Katchadourian, Zurich-based artist Rollo Press and more. The show also features a new publication ‘Book’, edited by James Langdon. “Books” runs till Sptember 4th.
Designer of the moment and winner of 2 Grafik stars, James Langdon is also doing a “These are a few of my favourite things” talk at 6:30pm tomorrow at the main Ikon gallery. Should be fun!
